Brioche French

(serves 6)

-8 whole eggs

-1 cup sugar to taste

-1/2 tsp nutmeg

-1/2 tbl ground cinnamon 

-1/2 cup whole milk

-1 1/4 cup heavy cream

1 loaf Brioche (cut into 2" slices)

 

Directions

1.) Mix all together

2.) In a teflon pan on med-high heat, add 1 tsp of canola oil and 1 tbl whole butter. 

3.) Combine butter and oil until nut brown.

4.) Add the Brioche that has been soaked in the batter and cook on one side until golden brown. Then flip.

5.) At this time, pour out excess fat and place pan in a 375 degree oven and cook for 10-12 minutes (till Brioche souffles when both sides are golden brown).

6.) Remove and serve with real maple syrup, fresh berries, banana slices, and a light dusting of powdered sugar!
