Salt Cathedral (formerly II Abanico) is one of Brooklyn's best kept secrets, which seems incredibly hard to measure up to with so many bands calling Brooklyn home. However, I couldn't deny their potential once I heard their recently released single "Move Along". The band consists of two Colombians, guitarist Nicolas Losada and  vocalist Juliana Ronderos, one Canadian drummer, Stefan Bildy, and two Americans, bassist Tommy Hartman and guitarist Silvio Vega. This cultural fusion is definitely on display, combining math rock and South American musical styles. Salt Cathedral is set to release their self-titled EP on July 30, 2013. The EP will be released on 12'' limited edition cream-colored vinyl with artwork from Micci Cohan. Stream "Move Along" below.
