Gary Clark Jr. "Bright Lights"
Born and raised in Austin. Savior of the blues. Best Young Gun. These words describe Gary Clark Jr., who got his start with the help of Clifford Antone, owner of the Austin blues club, Antone's. He honed his skills at an early age, sharing Austin dive stages with the likes of Jimmy Vaughn. Now at 27, he's performing at some of the largest festivals in the world. The young bluesman has been compared to Jimi Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaughn, but his more contemporary influences [Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain] uniquely shine through as well. Take a listen to "Bright Lights" and watch out for him in 2012.
