Sinkane - "Hold Tight"

One of our favorite albums this month comes from Ahmed Gallab (aka Sinkane). This is his third album as Sinkane but easily his most well-crafted work. His life experiences can be heard through his music with his blend of jazz, funk, and splashes of Sudanese pop. A former touring partner to Caribou, Of Montreal, Yeasayer, and Born Ruffians, we have high hopes for Sinkane. The new album, Mean Love, makes a statement all on its own. We could see Sade giving a nod to "Hold Tight" below ::
