The UK-based band Alt-J will make serious waves across the pond when their debut, An Awesome Wave, drops September 18. The album was released in the UK and has already received tremendous love. Needless to say, indie blogs here in the U.S. are spreading their momentum. The band created what many have dubbed "folk-step", infusing infectious folk melodies with hip-hop and synth beats.
