Beach Fossils began in '09 as a Dustin Payseur solo project, but after the 2010 release of the S/T debut LP and 2011's 'What A Pleasure' EP, he found himself touring the world. Yes, some spin-off projects [DIIV (Cole Porter) and Heavenly Beat (John Pena)] resulted as well. Beach Fossils is set to release Clash The Truth on February 19, 2013 via Captured Tracks. The album was produced by Ben Greenberg of The Men and features Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino on a track. In the midst of recording, Hurricane Sandy destroyed the studio which quickly prompted a relocation to finish it out. The album definitely incorporates their progressive punk roots and a level of maturity in their lyrical work. Stream "Careless" below.
