The side project of Beach Fossils' Z. Cole Smith, DIVE, has steadily been garnering success by the release several 7" tracks including "Sometime", "Human", and the B-side "Corvalis". Their latest 7" is another beautifully layered guitar-driven track called "Geist" that's due out on April 3, 2012 via Captured Tracks. The band has been labeled one of the must see bands at SXSW 2012 and I hear Cole Smith puts on a hell of a show. If you can catch them live, do it. The band also features ex-Smith Westerns drummer Colby Hewitt as well as Devin Ruben Perez and Andrew Bailey. Stream "Geist" below.
