After taking a break from Willowz, Richie Follin still wanted to keep his feet wet. He dabbled in guitar alongside his sister, Madeline, for Cults and demoed tracks with drummer Loren Humphrey. The songs definitely included some cool collaborations, particularly with Chairlift vocalist Caroline Polachek. Once the tracks hit the net, they were bombarded with label offers and live performance invitations. They called the project, Guards. 

Following the release of their highly acclaimed EP in 2010, Kaylie Church joined in and they've been rolling since. Currently, they're awaiting their debut, In Guards We Trust, to release on February 5th. Stream "Nightmare" below.
