We wanted to cover this Portland duo much sooner but held off until a couple of days before their October 2nd show at the Granada Theater. Menomena released Moms on September 18, 2012. I have to admit, I felt some trepidation about their future once Brent Knopf left. But Danny Seim and Justin Harris successfully continued on and put out an exceptional record. The lyrics are a little deeper on this album, covering topics from aging to family issues that shaped their lives. Danny Seim described the recording process for Moms as the "most collaborative and peaceful" experience he has had.
